Dr. David Kearney, O.M.D., L.Ac.

  • I use my knowledge, experience, and training in both Eastern and Western healing traditions to help my patients feel great and live their best lives.
I've been practicing Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine for over 50 years. I have been a pioneer among the West Coast pioneers of energetic medicine.
As one of the few qualified teachers in Chinese Medicine in the late 1970s, I was invited by the California Acupuncture College to become head of their acupuncture department (the second institution of its kind accredited in California).
In 1986, I received a doctorate in Chinese medicine from the California Acupuncture College. Over the next several years, I served as one of the early consultants to the National and State Acupuncture Boards, helping to create and write the first National Board Examination.
I help patients just like you with: - Chronic Pain & Chronic Conditions - Acute Conditions - Insomnia - Depression & Anxiety “My search for alternative healing reached a spiritual level when I became a monk, and practiced meditation and celibacy for five years. This pursuit brought me to the U.S. Through my practice as a monk and as a doctor of energetic medicine, I developed my own unique style of breathing and meditation, which is the basis for the breathing practices I teach. Over a period of 15 years, I traveled the world with various musical acts, earning special acknowledgments on Bob Dylan’s album "Knocked Out and Loaded" as well as George Harrison’s album "Cloud Nine."- Dr. David Kearney
